Chair

Raj is the Chair of the Partition Education Group. She has been a Governor/Trustee in the UK Education sector for 27 years. Her current roles also include Chair of a large primary school in Bradford, member of a large multi academy trust and specialist advisor to the Headteachers Roundtable grassroots organisation.

Ameena Malak

Ameena is the Vice-Chair of the Partition Education Group and a recent Chemistry graduate from the University of Oxford. As a young British Pakistani she holds a strong passion to see South Asian history incorporated into the very curriculum that she went through. She is also an original Co-Founder of the Partition-VR initiative Project Dastaan.

She previously worked for Manchester Museum’s Learning Team and co-produced the Museum’s award-winning “Jallianwala Bagh 1919: Punjab Under Siege” exhibition in partnership with The Partition Museum. She is currently a writer and writing coach.
